YPEF National Stage in Poland

On the 21st of May 2013 took place in the Warsaw University of Life Sciences the Final of the national stage of YPEF contest in Poland. In the final participated 37 teams with the best score achieved in the YPEF qualifying contest which was held in schools around Poland.

 

 

The best team on the final with 47 points was the team of students from II High School in Racibórz: Katarzyna Franiczek, Filip Taratuta and Kamil Przybyła. They will represent Poland in September on the European Final – congratulations! 


 

The second place with 46 points was taken by the team of Wioleta Nowicka, Izabela Janicka, Agata Ogłoza from the I High School in Sieradz.

 

 

The third place with 46 points was taken by the team of Magdalena Basaj,  Agata Cieślak, Agata Wawer from the II High School in Puławy.

 

 

Because of the same number of points (46 points) four teams participated in the run-off. After the run-off the second place was gained by the the team from Sieradz (15 points out of 15 possible). The other three teams got 12 points so the decisive was the score from the qualifying contest.


The laureates beside financial rewards for schools received also material rewards:


The winners received tablets computers, for the second place cameras, and for the third place portable USB hard drives.


All participants also received sets of gifts.  


All rewards were funded by the co-organizer and sponsor of the contest – Polish State Forests.
