Estonian forestry and forest education - Krista Keedus, Head of Sagadi Forest Centre. 458 million m3 of growing stock, 10 million m3 felling volume, 12 million m3 of annual growth.
National stages:
Austria - National Stage Contest 24th of April 2012, Technical Forestry High School Bruck / Mur (Styria).
Czech - Regional rounds 26. 4. 2012; Hranice, Písek, Trutnov, Žlutice. National round 16.5.2012; Kostelec nad Černými lesy.
Estonia - YPEF National Stage in Estonia. 4th April 2012. One national stage.
Greece - Date of the national and final contest -> Same school year -> Final Stage on 21st of March.
Latvia - Final of the National stage in Latvia was held in May, 2012. Participants - 116 schools, 6800 pupils.
Poland - Poland’s qualifying stage of YPEF contest in numbers: 2315 teams, 505 schools participating (junior highschools and highschools), 254 YPEF schools. National final in Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
Portugal - 1st Test – April 20th. Participation of: 187 pupils; 68 teams; 22 schools; 10 district. Run-off test, May 18th.
Discussion presentations:
Educational materials - 19 countries with 20 question from each gives 380, Europe with 60 questions 60 in our bank we have 440.
Minicontest - Organizing two different - whole European scale - mini contest: Forest quiz – with questions prepared volountarily; Photo contest strongly devoted to FOREST.
Final stage program - Northern Estonia, Lahemaa national park, Sagadi manor. Participants from 12 countries – min 60 people.
