Meeting of International Contest Commission on 28th- 29th of June in Czech Republic- Prague/ Kostelec nad Černými Lesy

The meeting of International Contest Commission took place on 28th- 29th of June in Czech Republic- Prague/ Kostelec nad Černými Lesy, in The Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences of the Czech University of Life Sciences (Fakulta lesnická a dřevařská České zemědělské univerzity v Praze), Kamýcká 1176, 165 21 Praha 6 – Suchdol.

    The opening of the meeting started with welcomes from Prof. Luděk Šišák, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences of CULS, and very interesting presentation of Forestry in the Czech Republic - Ing. Tomáš Krejzar, Head of Department of Forestry Policy and Economy, Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic.
    The meeting was very fruitful. During two days of work members of International Contest Commission established issues about final of YPEF 2010/2011 in Poland and future of the project. It was established to connect in second edition paper test with field tests in forests. There were also ideas how to enlarge project. The members of International Contest Commission decided to work on extension of YPEF and to organize second edition of the Contest.
    On first day of the meeting also organization issues about final in Poland were discussed. It was pleasure for Polish representatives, State Forest National Forest Holding representative Jolanta Stankiewicz and Forest Friends Association Maciej Białecki and Anna Trzosińska to invite participants for final to picturesque place on Masuria Lakes District in Poland. 
    It is also our  great pleasure to announce, that during meeting Ms. Astrid Schilling from Germany joined to the International Contest Commission. Welcome!
    Also the set of question for final of YPEF 2010/2011 were drawn by drawing commission: Juta Jago from Estonia, Robert Georg Pache from Romania and Maciej Białecki from Poland.
Special gratefulness to organizers of meeting, Ing. Stanislav Jansky from Municipal and Private Forests Owners in the Czech Republic, Ms. Helena Prknova and colleagues from Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences of the Czech University of Life Sciences.
