In Portugal the YPEF National Stage has two rounds. The first round will take place on the 15^th of April in each of the schools. The best team of each school will follow for the second round and represent the school in the Nacional Final of the YPEF Contest, which will take place in 6^th of May in a local appointed by the Nacional Commission.

The team of students that wins the National Finalwill represent Portugal in the European Stage of the YPEF Contest that will take place in Latvia in the end of September 2016.

The Portuguese National Stage is composed of:
1ª Stage
- Multiple choice test about European and the participatory countries’ forests
- Two essay questions about the information of the booklet

National Final:
- Multiple choice test about European and the participatory countries’ forests
- Scientific poster presentation
 Language: English
 Date: 06th of May 2016
