Chantal Bohn, Lucas Nahs and Philine Wegner from Alexander-von-Humboldt-Gymnasium Eberswalde won the national final of "Young People in European Forests” in Germany.
Congratulations!
On 10th of April started the national stage of the european contest "Young People in European Forests" at the University for Sustainable development in Eberswalde with pupils of the Goethe-Oberschule from Eberswalde. After an interesting lecture with multimedia elements about the German forests the pupils went to the forest nearby. There students of the university were waiting with different activities for the pupils, like guessing animals, assessing tree height or nature memory. After having fun in the forest the pupils in groups of three were answering the exam questions in English in the seminar room.
This year Germany sets a record! Altogether 201 pupils from 10 schools (Secondary schools and Grammar schools) in 7 towns from three States (Berlin, Brandenburg and Niedersachsen) took part at the international contest of "Young People in European Forests" 2014!
Thanks to all German participants and their teachers for taking part at National stage of Young people in European Forests 2014!
Hope to welcome you again next year!
