The national stage in Austria took place on 18 April 2013 in Bruck/Mur.

In Czech Republic national stage of the competition will be held on 23 May.

The national final in Estonia took place on 25 March. The winner is team from Tallinna French School "Copper Owl" with Annaleena Vaher, Airon Oravas and Mati Lepikson.

In Hungary 420 students from 85 schools participated in the first round of the competition. The national final will be held on 1 June.

The national stage in Lithuania will be held on 3 May.

In Portugal the national qualifications took place on the 19 April.

The number of finalists in Poland was increased –the best 38 teams will participate in the national final stage on 21 May.

On Friday, April 12 took place in Poland the qualification stage of YPEF III contest. In 208 YPEF schools met ca. 2100  teams from 365  schools. Thirty best teams will meet on May 21 in Warsaw University of Life Sciences, and the best one with other winners in September, in Portugal.

The European stage will take place in Vilarinho das Furnas Youth Hostel in the very heart of the National Park of Peneda-Gerês!
This Youth Hostel is located in the North of Portugal, where you'll find one of the most charismatic Youth Hostels in Portugal. Coming to this region it is certain to feel a deep, harmonious relationship with nature, and seeing plants and animals that are unique in the world.

On April 2, will be 10 years from the start of activity of the Forest Friends Association in Poland. On this occasion,gavean interview Polish Deputy Minister of Environment Mr. Janusz Zaleski. You know him-he metwith the participantsof the firstYPEF final in September 2011, in Poland..Asked about theYPEF contestsaid: …it was a great pleasure and satisfaction for me to participate in the meeting with youths from many European countries and I supported the project of the contest with my whole heart – the contest in which young people from so many countries take part.
