The YPEF 2014 national final completed successfully

The Baár-Madas Református Gimnázium’s team won in the national final of "Young People in European Forests” study contest. 11 high schools’ students got into the national final and compare their knowledge with each other.

The national competition is organized by the Hungarian National Forestry Association and the ‘Kitaibel Pál high school biology and environmental study contest’. More Info »

 In Romania, the National Stage of the International Contest YPEF 2014 was organized by the National Forest Administration - ROMSILVA.

 The National Stage was organized in two phases:

 ü  High School Phase - was organized in April 7-11, within the traditional forestry high schools and was supervised by an internal commission.  More Info »

National stage Contest in Latvia

In Latvia the YPEF National Stage of the Contest was organized by JSC "Latvia`s State Forests" (LVM) in cooperation with Ogre Forest Technical School. The Contest language was English.

Ogre Technical School forestry and forestry equipment department 32 students of forestry and forestry machinery educational programs participated in the contest. More Info »

In Portugal the YPEF Contest is organized by Forestis – Associação Florestal de Portugal.

On the 28^th of May was determined the Portuguese National Winning Team, composed by João Mota, João Marques and João Pereira, from the Escola Profissional Mariana Seixas, from district of Viseu, who were accompanied by the English teacher, Mrs. Elisabete Gomes Marques.

Due to a tie in the 2^nd Part, this edition of the contest had 3 parts:

1^st Part (24^th of April): text answering a list of 50 prepared questions about European forests and one development question about Portuguese Forests More Info »

In Poland the contest is organized by Forest Friends Association with the support of the “State Forests” National Forest Holding.

The National Stage Contest took place on 22^nd of May 2014 at the Aleksandras Stulginskis University (Kaunas).

In Lithuania the YPEF National Stage of the Contest was organized by the Union of Lithuanian Foresters and Directorate General of State Forests under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania. More Info »
